Why We Struggle to Charge as Spiritual Entrepreneurs (And What Is Shifting For Me)

I’ve been procrastinating to share this… because part of me is still allowing this to fully be.

I've updated my website. I've created the offerings. I was even able to put a price on them. And I finally started sharing the news with some of my closest and intimate friends. Today, I finally feel ready to share this publicly.

If you’re in the spiritual, healing, or conscious leadership space, you might recognize this tension:

You feel deeply called to offer your work.

And you feel uncomfortable charging for it.

When I started Meditaction, I offered everything for free or by donation.

It felt aligned, generous and pure.

But underneath that… there was also fear.

A belief that if this work was truly spiritual, it shouldn’t be about money.

A fear that charging for something sacred would corrupt the intention.

A discomfort with being seen as “commercial” instead of “devoted.”

I know I’m not alone in this.

So many conscious entrepreneurs carry this quiet blockage:

“If it’s a calling, I shouldn’t charge.”

But here’s what shifted for me:

What if charging for your work isn’t a betrayal of the calling, but a commitment to it?

Because when everything is free (and I got to learn this the hard way):

• People show up casually (or they simply don't)

• We overextend ourselves

• Sustainability becomes fragile

• Resentment can quietly build

And when our work isn’t sustainable, our mission shrinks.

Money is not the opposite of service: it’s just one form of energy exchange.

When someone invests, they commit.

When we receive, we stabilize.

When the work is supported, it grows.

Moving Meditaction from free/donation-based to paid service isn’t about profit.

It's about commitment to a larger vision while maintaining self-respect.

It's about saying: this work has value, my time has value, transformation has value.

If you’re navigating this edge too - feeling the call but hesitating to charge - maybe this thought can help:

You’re not greedy or less spiritual.

You’re simply learning to receive.

And for many of us, that’s the real initiation.

If this resonates, I’d genuinely love to hear your experience. What beliefs about money and spirituality are you currently dealing with?

Love,

Tati

P.S. Choosing to charge doesn’t mean abandoning generosity. I’ll always remain open to creating free or donation-based experiences when they are truly aligned with Meditaction’s vision and values. Service is still at the heart of this - now supported by long-term sustainability.
